Follow up from the Molly Mo's Antique Faire

So I cannot say enough how wonderful all my Roost customers are...  You guys and gals are all so amazing!  I cannot tell you how much you guys truly inspire me.  I couldn't do what I do without your loyal support.  The Molly Mo's Show was so inspiring to be a part of.  There was an amazing amount of vendor talent, and  Dianne (owner of Molly Mo's) is the most gracious hostess, wonderful designer, great friend, and super mom.  She makes the whole show come together so flawlessly we just all stand back in awe.  I was so honored to be a part of it all.  So thank you all who came out to the show.  Here are a few of the pictures that I snapped of my booth.

The end of set up day before the show... sooo tired but sooo excited for the next day!

In case you you haven't heard...

Camas Antique Street Faire is THIS SATURDAY from 9am-4pm
Check out Worthy Goods blog here for more information.

Look forward to seeing some of you there!

Big make over at the barn

So I have been working all week on various projects at the barn. I am striving for a complete overhaul but I think with the time remaining before our Grand Spring Opening I am going to have to settle for a make-over instead.  I have started with taking out all my props and am down to ground zero.

Here is a picture of the ceiling earlier today.

I have added a little elegance and whimsy with some cream Georgette sheer fabric that I salvaged from my wedding 2 years ago.  I layered the sheers and tacked it to the rafters below my existing twinkle lights.  I love how it adds so much texture.  Here is the after picture (sorry it's kinda blurry)

I have also covered 2/3rds of the barn walls with 1x6 wood fencing that I salvaged from my uncle who was building a new fence a couple years ago. (it's been sitting out behind the barn for that long just waiting for me to re-purpose it much to my parents delight)  Thanks Uncle Dave!  If anyone you know is looking to get rid of fencing I do need a bit more so let me know.

On to another project that I finished up today as well...

Remember that really cute green house that I built a couple weeks ago?  Well I sold it at the show last week but the buyer wanted to make several modifications.  So here's what we came up with just before Easter...
An adorable bunny palace!  Complete with a pull out drawer to catch the waste.  I have another on order but with a little different design.  I'll probably start that little project later next week.  I'll be sure to post the pictures of that one too.

Okay to finish this post off I thought I would do a couple BEFORE and AFTERS.  I just love the miracle of paint and hardware.

Winding down on the weekend

So I had such a wonderful weekend and it's still not quite over.  I was just so excited to share what I have been up to so far... Friday I headed up to Monroe Washington with my mom and attended the Ruffles and Rust un Marche show that Come Junk with us hosted.  These ladies really know how to throw a party.  The food was amazing, the wines were great and the inspiration and dedication that the vendors of the show provided was easy to see.  Both my mom and I had such a great time looking around at all the creative hats at the show.  I was so excited that I totally forgot to get pictures!  There was however many great photographers there to catch the rusty glamour of the show.

I purposely didn't drive my truck up to this event because I knew if I did I would come back with way too much stuff. I am maxed out on space from hoarding all winter.

I did however find a couple smalls that I couldn't do with out.

There was some great garden stakes that I got from Auntie's, a rusty iron stand from Seabold, and some scraps of fabric from another vendor.  All in all a great show!

On Saturday I went to Martha's house from Vintage Trifles and had a wonderful time with the girls.  Martha was a wonderful hostess.  She provided a fresh European style breakfast, savory lunch and little snacks throughout the day.

Here is my Honeymoon Passport that I created...

All the ladies that came were super creative and provided me with some great inspiration throughout the day.  I am sure Martha will be posting pictures soon of the event and the other passports so make sure to head over to her blog http://vintagetrifles.blogspot.com/ to see them.  Also while we were talking during the day there was mention of several other exciting classes to come so stay tuned for that.

Thanks for looking and have a great President's Day!!!
